As a regional network, PLAY is intended to support local communities through the following; understanding research; assist in planning; sharing information, advocacy to local government; and, building broader networks to create stronger partnerships for the daily work of local agencies and professionals.

The local connections in our region continue to grow with the aid of technology, human resources and the good will of all! These communities work diligently to come together in a variety of ways to create unique, local networks which work specifically for their neighbourhoods in building a healthier community for their young children.

Community development is an ongoing process and PLAY attempts to work with communities who have identified an interest in mobilizing their community to strengthen their understanding and network in support of their young children. PLAY staff is willing to meet with communities to share maps, research and create connections to assist groups in planning and action.
