The events of PLAY are both planned and reactive as the requests and needs of our membership respond to pertinent local and political happenings in our region. Therefore in order to meet as many requests as possible, PLAY provides opportunities for information sharing, awareness and professional development through workshops and presentations. Events allow members to share information, raise awareness and celebrate the work and commitment of our members.

Workshops

Opportunities to coordinate, sponsor or host workshops happen throughout the year and are determined based on membership requests and current and future happenings in the region. The membership of PLAY is electronically surveyed for input on what information people would like have presented.

Past workshops have included; strategic planning of the coalition, Hand in Hand Child Care Conference, and the sponsorship of parents and professionals to regional conferences and workshops including Circle of Friends, Parenting Dads Conference, and Children First Provincial meetings.
