Municipal planning and decision making can make a positive impact on neighbourhoods and the social supports that contribute to the healthy development of young children and their families. Connections with municipalities are being made in a number of ways:

1. through Local Early Years groups
2. Offering input on municipal Official Community Plans
3. Developing municipal research briefs and maps on child care
   
4. Making presentations to City Councils
5. Sitting on municipal Advisory Committees
