Health & Wellness Services
Community Service Agencies that provide a variety of health and wellness services including counseling, parenting support and education, pre- and post- natal care, immunizations and well-baby visits for children, and health screening. This category includes Neighbourhood Houses, Community Health Units, Queen Alexandra for Children's Health, Victoria General Hospital, Medical Clinics, Community Centres, Child Care Resource and Referral, and programs such as Strong Start.

Libraries and Literacy Programs
Resources and programs which promote books, reading and literacy. Toy libraries are also included.

Support Services (Need Services)
For those in need of food, shelter, clothing or other support during a time of need or crisis. Food bank, emergency shelters, and transition houses are a few examples of these services.

Recreation Centres
Regional and municipality run centres providing sport and recreational activities for young children and families. Public skating rinks and swimming pools are included.

Cultural Organizations and Services
Organizations and local First Nations governments that deliver a range of culturally specific services to communities and individuals living in the region. These services range from culturally based family and children's programming, to public museums and art galleries.
